INSPIRATION:
This instrument is built from combination of percussion and string instrument Inspired by shield that is match with the new sound! Design of the product is inspired by sound waves broadcasting sign in area.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES/ PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Combining two instruments together that means giving a birth to a new sound, new function in instruments usage, a new way to play an instrument, a new appearance. Also note scales for drums is like D3, A3, B3, C4, D4, E4, F4, A4 and the string note scales are designed in E-A-D-G-B-E system. The DrumString is light and does have a strap that’s fastened over shoulders and waist therefore using and holding the instrument will be easy and it give s you the ability of using two hands.

OPERATION/FLOW/INSTRUCTION:
Because of combining a percussion and string instrument and using a new material New form of playing and reacting with instruments and ability to use two hands made interaction easy and new unique sound.

PRODUCTION/ REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The two deep drawn steel are hardened by a process known as gas Nitridization. DrumString has 2 nylon and 4 steel string.

RESEARCH ABSTRACTS:
For designing this musical instrument, Mohamad Montazeri has researched over combination of string and percussion instruments together and building a new instrument, making a new unique sound, creating new playing method (using both two hands on both parts of instrument), new behavior in user.my instrument does have a new minimal attractive modern and pure form that helps user move and use it as easy as possible.

CHALLENGES:
Eventually According to research part, Mohamad Montazeri designed this instrument that is beautiful, pure and modern in new ergonomic form, ease of transport new behavior and interaction, new way to play and making sensual relations with user. Joining aesthetics and performance besides emotional connection between DrumString and its user is my main concern.
